Thank you for the joy of sight.
Writing gratitudes for appreciation and ancestors
Soft breeze on bare feet through an open window
sunshine dappling on cherry’s trunk.
An open window in November!
Poetry might spring from this kind of silence.
Inspired also by a great hawk perched with
its white breast fully in view.
On a forest walk
a warm day before the first frost
Noticing how yellow gum leaves fall imitating the sun
Pine needles dart to the ground
Maple leaves twirl stem first
Birch leaves sail
Cricket chirps slower
A blue heron in graceful flight
The hush of breeze through the forest
The patter of dropping leaves sounding like raindrops
Burgundy dogwood, the swell of more breezes, the call of a piliated woodpecker through it all
Silence
An acorn pops off the brim of my hat,
glad for the hat.
A waterfall of grapevine
Startling red sumac
Bluebirds flitting about in a stand of bamboo.
The colors of blue…and green!
The allowance of time:
all of this
to be outside
to love
to breathe
to cherish.
Such lovely images take us with you!
Beautiful Anya!
Thank you:)
